By the time you actually get to reading this, there is a very good chance that you’re reading a voice from the last decade. 🙂 I make it a practice to prepare my posts to Louisville clients and friends a few days in advance, and RIGHT NOW, it is still 2019.
But 2020 is beckoning, and is probably already here for YOU.
And your Louisville business made it to another decade. Pop the champagne for THAT.
Despite the still-seemingly-strong economy, it’s no small thing to run a business that doesn’t die. And it takes fierce intention and good leadership — even if only over your own worst impulses, for you sole proprietors out there.
That’s why I still make it a practice to set my intentions for the year ahead (well, DECADE, in this instance) — simply because when I do so, it has a way of working itself into my business operating system throughout the entire year.
I’ll start here: How can we serve you and your business in setting AND reaching your goals?
Because — as I hope is obvious — we exist to make your business life easier. We take great joy in providing our business-owner clients with sharp vision into the financial realities of their businesses, and the advice to go with it.
But, as you can probably gather by the fact that I take the time to write each week — we’d be glad to assist you with *every* aspect of setting and reaching your goals. We’re much more than just some dry accounting firm, after all.
So, again — let me know if there’s anything we can do to help you as we move into the 20’s. I really do read each response to my emails, every week.
How Roberts CPA Group Plans to Make 2020 Our Best Year Ever
“Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success.” – Ross Perot
Another DECADE is in the rearview (mostly, ahem). The holidays are past — family, football, and festivities have taken their annual toll. And now, we’re facing a brand new decade … so what are we going to do about, eh?
Here’s how I plan to make 2020 our best year ever at Team Roberts…
1) Provide my clients and their associates with THE standard in tax preparation, accounting and financial advice — especially in light of all the upcoming political craziness and shenanigans. There are MANY changes in store for all of us this year, and we’re planning to be on top of the ones that matter, on your behalf.
2) A personal one: take care of my personal machine and make an effort to eat more natural foods — especially the kind that taste good. Probably no explanation is necessary here. 🙂
3) Lead my team with grace, excellence and compassion during our busiest times. The metaphorical bullets fly fast when we are handling hundreds of clients, and we have been looking ahead to these next few months for quite some time. But I’m under no illusions about the fact that my leadership and attitude will be one of the key factors for the success of our team.
What are YOUR intentions for 2020? I’d love to hear about them. In fact, shoot me a message on the contact page; I’d love to know what you’re resolving to do in 2020.
And, if you’ll forgive a bit of a self-serving plug — it’s a very good idea to contact us if there are any tax issues on the personal or business side that we should be aware of (email or call: (502) 426-0000).
Sure, you don’t have your paperwork ready yet — but give yourself a deadline, and help us plan our workflow effectively at the same time. Poor planning is the “hidden tax” during this season.
This, of course, is why I’m in the business — to help clients and friends make sure they’re not getting nailed by these multiplicity of “hidden” taxes. This year — with so much future-casting based in uncertainty — the “Stupid Tax” is NOT working with a well-prepared professional when it comes to your business taxes. Don’t pay that one, if you can help it.
I’m grateful for our chance to serve you and your Louisville business — and we are dedicated to its success, in every measure.
Feel free to forward this article to a business associate or client you know who could benefit from our assistance. While these particular articles usually relate to business strategy, as you know, we specialize in tax preparation and planning for families and business owners.
Warmly,
Kevin Roberts
